Reopen numbered.pdf: it must still contain 12 source pages, not 11. Page 1 receives no new label; pages 2, 7 and 12 receive 1 / 11, 6 / 11 and 11 / 11. The denominator is the final visible number, not the document page count. Inspect every numbered page for overlap and contrast. Keep the original: a new serialization does not guarantee byte identity, forms, links, annotations, accessibility or signature preservation. A source signature does not sign this output.
